This is how the receiving room is left each night to accommodate night staff bringing bodies into the facility. We have staff available 24 hours a day. Often, nothing happens during regular day hours and we get five to seven calls between 5PM and 8AM. We then call our people out of bed, they get dressed in suits and ties and go to residences, hospitals and sometimes to highway accidents or down to the lake or river. It can be unpleasant. Sometimes, it breaks your heart. But someone has to do it.
And, above all - everyone must be treated with respect.
