| I do not know of any regulations from OSHA regarding rental caskets. Remember, OSHA regulates "employees". It is not, per se, a "consumer protection agency". It's mandate involves protecting employees and the work environment. The regulation of rental caskets commonly falls under the jurisdiction of boards or agencies which regulate funeral directors. Agencies like the Arizona State Board of Funeral Directors have enacted regulations that specify how rental caskets may be used, parts of the casket which must be replaced after each use, etc. Hope this answers your question. |
